Ask a question or report a bug

Open an issue on GitHub. You'll need a free GitHub account. I read every one.

What to include in a bug report

  • Your Cloudroll version (in Cloudroll's settings) and your iOS version
  • Your Nextcloud and Memories versions
  • What you did, what you expected and what happened instead
  • The diagnostics log, if a page won't load or you see an error. Open Cloudroll's settings (the gear on the timeline, or touch and hold the tab bar), choose Diagnostics and share it. It lists paths on your server but never passwords. Read it over before posting it publicly.

Common questions

Sign-in doesn't finish

Cloudroll uses your server's own sign-in page, so your password never passes through the app. If the page stays open after you grant access, close it and try again, and check that the server address starts with https://.

"Preparing Memories" takes a long time

Cloudroll can't reach your server. After a few seconds you can cancel and retry, or switch to another account in Settings. Check that the server is online and reachable from where you are.

Some features are missing

The native viewer, phone photos in the timeline and the iOS controls need Memories 9 or later, which needs Nextcloud 34 or later. With older versions you get Memories' web interface.

Signing out

In Cloudroll's settings, swipe left on the account and choose Sign Out. Cloudroll also revokes its app password on your server. If it can't reach the server, remove the device yourself under Personal settings, then Security, in Nextcloud.

Privacy

Cloudroll collects no data. The privacy policy has the details.
